Today was a pretty great day.
Woke up at 5.30 when my alarm went off, due to the fact that I forgot to change the alarm time, factoring in extra sleeping time coz I was getting a lift with Kate. So I hit the snooze button about x times, where 4≤x<8.
Anyway, then I got ready for uni etc etc, and I remembered to take my Child Protection Certificate and find a plastic case thing and a pin so that I could pin my ID to myself, and my Calculus textbook for Kate.
So mum drove me to Niagara Park station, and we got there just as Kate pulled in, then Eleanor walked over the railway and we were off on the exciting adventure to the place known as UNI. Well, Eleanor was going to TAFE,but still. It was an adventure.
So we got to Uni and then we parked near Engineering and then went to maths, and it was so incredibly exciting. We did differentiation, and we learnt how to differentiate xⁿ EVEN WHEN n IS A FRACTION!!! It was mind-boggling, ask Kate if you don't believe me.
Anyway, so after that I went to the Maths Bus Stop (North). Then bus 100 got there, and I got on, and I was like, "Can I go to Mayfield West?" And the driver was like, "Whereabouts in Mayfield West?" And I was like, "uuuuuuuummmmmmm. I want to go to the primary school." And the driver started telling me about how this bus didn't go there etc when the girl behind me was like, "Are you going to the primary school? So am I. Yeah, you get off at blah blah and it's just up the road, blah blah.." and so the driver gave me a ticket and the girl got a ticket and then I was relieved. her name's Sarah and she finished High school 7 years ago, and she's doing D&T, like everyone else (textiles). And we had the same school visit class, so it was great.
So we were talking on the bus, and hence I didn't really notice where we were going, so I still don't really know where the school is, but it's OK coz she'll catch the bus with me next week as well.
So we got to the school and we started wandering towards the office but then these people walked past and they were like, "follow us" and so we did, and we went to the hall and sat around for ages waiting for orientation. Then the Assistant Principal called the names and checked Child Protection certificates, and there was a guy called Brett lee there, and he didn't have his certificate. And the Principal guy was like, "shouldn't you be in South Africa?" And then immediately after that he said "Sorry! Sorry sorry, it's not even funny." And then Brett Lee didn't have his certificate, so the guy didn't think he was humorous any more, even though his name was Brett Lee.
Anyway, then we went to the class, and I could tell you everything that happened, but that is actually my assignment, so it seems like work to write about it. But I would if it wasn't an assignment.
Anyway, after that we got a lift back to uni with a girl who is a chef and been all over the world and doing D&T(food tech). So i was only 20 minutes late to my tutorial.
Yeah, so the chef (I don't know her name) dropped us at some uni bus stop where I'd never been before, but then Sarah led me to the Hunter Building and it was OK. Then I ran through there to the Teaching Centre, coz I had to do my peer teach.
Adam did his peer teach first, and he's PE, and he did The Principles of Training, and it was OK. Then I did mine and everyone got so confused and it was so pathetic, but oh well. Shen Chen said I was brave trying to teach non-maths people who had no idea what I was talking about (I did surds, and rationalising the denominator etc).
Then I went to the train station, and got the 4.06 train to hamilton, where I walked around for an hour (actually i went to subway and got some lunch, coz I didn't have time to eat ever). And then I got on the coach and then we got to Morisset, and then when I was getting off I saw Joe, and he was actually sitting in the seat behind me but on the other side, and so I was like "I didn't know you were on this bus!" And he was like, "I didn't know YOU were on this bus" and then we had a nice chat all the way home on the train, plus 20 minutes just sitting on the train at Morisset waiting for the other coaches. Then mum came and picked us up coz Joe was going to Sean's, so we dropped him there.
Then I came home and did some stuff, I can't remember what but I must've done something, coz it's 9.20. No wait! I only got home at 7. So I haven't wasted that much time. Oh yeah, and I played Rummykub with the siblings, and I won. And then I did the practice test online for EDUC1005, and I got 4/10, so maybe I should actually read some notes. And then I printed off next week's EDUC1003 required reading, coz I was too lazy to do the summary but I always do it on Thuirsdays so if I don't I might forget. And I looked at MATH1510 lecture notes for tomorrow, coz I don't think I'll go coz I'm lazy, and it looks like more probability, so I'll copy off Sam later.
So, tomorrow I'm having breakfast with Luke at 7am, then he's going to uni and I'm going home, then I'm going to Alison's at 4.30pm, and then she's going to a concert, I forget what it's called, and I'm going home at about 10am or sometime before that I guess, then going to Backy Skank in Sydney sometime in the pm, and Luke's coming too, then he's going to work at 8am, and I'm going to work at 9am.
So, that's my weekend planned out. Excellent.
Well. Might go hit the shower. Bye blog, and faithful readers (you know you secretly love it Mikaela).

wow, sounds like everything worked out then. Even that scary differentiation.

He's an idiot.. he really is - "cause you can't differentiate x^n when n is a fraction like you normally would differentiate" nooooooooo... you have to do it like you NORMALLY do. Anyways! I agree, it was totally thrilling, as was engineering. My Maths tutorial was alright though cause everyone's started talking to each other and so instead of there being 16 silent ppl and one talking tutor we all actually participate now and whatever.. much better plan.

Glad ur school visit worked out
I'm off to bed, g'night
